Show Type:
Schools Only
Genre:
State-wide

When we dig into the soil and plant a garden, we increase our sense of belonging to the place that we live, study or play in.

This simple project invites schools to plant a garden (if you haven’t already!) of herbs and fast-growing vegetables and tend to the produce as it grows. While caring for the garden, we ask students, classes and families to claim the space by decorating it with unique hand-made art.

During the COME OUT Festival, celebrate the garden by creating a meal to share with friends, classmates and family using the produce grown from the garden.

Register your participation in this project by emailing the name of your school, number of students involved to puttingdownroots@comeoutfestival.com.au
Send us photos before the Festival and you’ll go into the draw to win a ZEN Home Energy System for your school.
